XEMATest ALMOND

Rapid immunochromatographic test for qualitative determination of almond antigen in foods, kitchen and production facilities.

Almond belongs to the family which includes apple, pear, peach, cherry, plum, nectarine, although almond allergy is traditionally considered as tree nuts allergy.

Almond allergy can display the variety of symptoms from mild oral allergy to severe life-threatening systemic reactions, i.e. anaphylactic shock or bronchial asthma. Allergy to almond nuts is most rare among tree nuts allergies, affecting 0,2-0,3% by different estimations, most of the cases are children.

Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act identified that tree nuts allergy is one of the 8 major food allergies that should be to be labeled specifically. In EU, tree nuts are included into to the list of allergens established by European Food Safety Authority, which must be indicated in foods according to EU Law.

XEMATest Almond does not detect the antigens of cereals, legumes and other nuts.
